L’année 2022 restera à mes yeux comme une année singulière. Une saison riche en émotions, comme en témoigne l’avènement du para-sauvetage, signe d’une démocratisation rafraîchissante du lifesaving. En effet, si l’Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande et la France continuent de dominer la scène internationale, de plus en plus de nations arborent les bonnets des sauveteurs. Quel bonheur de voir un sauveteur argentin à la lutte avec un sauveteur marocain ou honkongais, voire portugais ! 
De même, dix ans après le triomphe de l’Iranien Reza Ghasemi à Adélaïde, la médaille d’argent des Iraniennes sur le relais sprint en Italie fut particulièrement émouvante, dans le contexte actuel. Par ailleurs, le dynamisme du sauvetage africain n’est pas pour me déplaire. 
L’arrivée de nouveaux partenaires institutionnels (comme l’Armée) ou privés (Red Bull par exemple) a également marqué ces derniers mois. Et avant de basculer vers de nouveaux horizons, nous vous proposons de revivre quelques grands moments de l’exercice écoulé, tels les championnats de France interclubs à Hossegor, la Rescue de Riccione ou les mondiaux de paddleboard au Costa Rica. 

| 2022 will remain a remarkable year for me. A season rich in emotion, as witnessed by the advent of para-lifesaving, and marked by a refreshing geographical growth of lifesaving. Even though Australia, New Zealand and France continue to dominate the international scene, more and more nations are donning lifesaving caps. What a pleasure to see an Argentinian athlete competing against lifesavers coming from Morocco or Hong Kong or even Portugal!
Similarly, ten years after the triumph of Iranian Reda Ghazemi in Adelaide, the silver medal won by the Iranian women in the sprint relay in Italy was particularly moving in the current context. On the other hand, the dynamism of African lifesaving is incredibly good news.
The arrival of new institutional partners (such as the Army) or private sponsors (Red Bull for example) has also marked these last few months. And before moving on to new horizons, we suggest that you relive some of the great moments of the past year, such as the French interclub championships in Hossegor, the Rescue in Riccione or the paddleboard world championships in Costa Rica.
